May 23rd, 2009Living ThingsHey, kids. I got a question for you guys.
What is living thing?
You may think that is simple. Living things are people. Or maybe living things can move. Or maybe living things has life.

May 19th, 2009UncategorizedA Sea turtle size is huge.
Please help to save more turtles
Normally, a mature sea turtle can be six or seven feet (2 m) in length, and three to five feet (1 to 1.5 m) in width, weighing up to 1300 pounds (650 kg).
Although, a sea turtle can swim very easying in the sea. It is very hard for them to move around the beach. And they look clumsy. If you seen a sea turtle before, you know what I mean.
Movement of sea turtles is made tougher with their short neck and short limbs or legs.
So, once a turtle is overturn. It just can’t turn over again.
Kids…Please helps those turtles…It means a lot to them.

May 19th, 2009UncategorizedHello, kids. You know what… I have been busy in the kitchen lately.
Yum...Yum...
So, here a some interesting fact I would like to share, here goes…
When we wash some squids, we just can’t find any blood in the squid’s body. Why ?
But, we only find some white shinning liquid. In fact, this is the squid’s blood.
So, read carefully ” A SQUID’S BLOOD IS WHITE IN COLOR”
Well, that is only half true.
This is due to the fact that a squid does not have red blood cell like we humans do.
That is why a squid’s blood looks transparant or no color.

May 3rd, 2009UncategorizedOn fine day when I came home from work. My son was shouting and running towards me.
”Dad, I screw up big time!” he says.
“What happen ?” I asked.
“Mom gonna kill me…” he answers.
“Why, boy ?” I asked again.
“I draw on the mirror, I try to wash it but it is still there” he explained.
Oh, Kids. By now you should know my son is in trouble.
So, he pulled me all the way to my wife dressing room. There I saw a work of art on the mirror my wife like it so much.
Now kids, my son was playing with a permenant marker I gave him last week. So my little Picaso was drawing with that marker on my wife’s mirror.
Kids, I know this situation happens a lot of time. No problemo! Doc gonna solve it.
I quickly grab a bottle of acetone-based nail polish remover. What is this so call acetone-base nail polish remover u might ask. Well, it is an organic solvant that remove nail polish. Go ask mom or sis they should know.
I soaked a cotton ball with acetone-based nail polish remover and place the cotton ball on the marker stain. With a cloth I created another Cool Science Experiments For Kids. The marker say bye bye and disappeared. To make sure my wife did not notice anything I even wipe the mirror with water.
My son happily shouted “Daddy saved the day!!!”
Explanations:-
Marker stain, paint smears, wood paint or even nail polsih (are paint) on glass surfaces are easily cleaned off using an acetone-based nail polish remover. However, ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the room if using large amounts of the solution as inhaling acetone can be hazardous. So kids, please becareful with the nail polish remover and don’t get it near the fire. Will be talking about organic solvant the coming post…stay tune.
