Cool Science Experiments For Kids
This site contains some science experiments for kids to do @home or school-
December 18th, 2009PressureHey, kids.
I found this nice video in YouTube
So let the show begin…
Why the egg fell into the bottle?
Please leave your comment.
Stay Tune…I will explain later.

December 16th, 2009PressureDo you like the idea of having a plane all by yourselves.
Well, after this Cool Science Experiments For Kids YOU CAN…!!!
In fact, this
avery simple experiment. All you need is: 2 PIECE OF A4 PAPER…!!! and a pair of scissors
Hey kids, save a tree, save the earth, just find some used A4 paper. OK…
By now. I think most of you know how to fold a paper plane.
But, if you still in doubt below are the step by step guide. Just fold along the dashed line(s).
You will need two paper plane for this experiments
Plane 1 : Step 1 - Step 5
Plane 2 : Step 1 - Step 6 (Kids, please take note. I have make some modification on our plane)
Step 1 : Fold along the dashed lines, then open it out

Step 2 : Just fold along dashed lines and follow the arrows.

Step 3 : Keep following the dashed llines and arrows

Step 4 : Just follow dashed line and arrow again ;P

Step 5 : You know what to do...

Step 6 : There is a slight modification here, cut along the red lines
Judgement Day…!!!
Just fly your 2 private jets. Have a lot of fun. What happen ? :-
Notice that:-

Yeah...We Are Go Up...!!!
Flight path of Plane 1 keep flying down.
But, flight path of Plane 2 was up and down. This shows that how Bernoulli Principle works when a plane taking off.
Explainations:-

Side View Of Your Plane

Bernoulli Principle Revisited
From the side view of your plane, you notice that the top surface is slightly curve upwards, while the bottom is flat. So when you fly your plane through the air, the air flow speed on top has to travel faster to cover a longer distance. The air flow below the wing is slower.
Remember to what Mr. Bernoulli said, “a steady flow of fluid (gas or liquid), the pressure of the fluid decrease when the velocity(speed) if the fluid increase”
Ah…forget it!!!
In the case of your plane, the air flow on top of the wing is faster, therefore creating a lower pressure region on top of the wing. While the slower air flow under the wing creates an higher pressure region. Thus, the higher pressure helps the plane to take off or flying upwards.

December 11th, 2009UncategorizedHey, Kids. Ho,ho,ho….Merry Christmas….!!!
“Oh! You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
Santa Claus is coming to town! ”Yeah…Christmas is just around the corner. Have you guys boutght any presents yet?
It is time to set us in Christmas mood all over again…
Now, I gonna show you how to wrap your gift. Santa will love it…!!!
Are you ready…?
Let’s get rolling…

A Gift For You...Kids
Basically, in this so call experiments you will need:-
a) Any paper wrapper you like
b) a pair of scissors
c) double sided tape or any sticky tape
d) fabric type ribbon and lastly
e) paper type ribbon
f) and Off Course!!! The Gift or Present you wanted to wrap
Wrapper, Ribbons, Scissors,...

Place your gift around 1/3 position of wrapper

By now, you should know what I mean

Roll your gift with wrapper until the end, then stick it with tape (be it sticky or double sided tape)

Hold tight at the shorter end of wrapped gift

Keep holding the shorter end, then slowly pull the other end along the wrapped gift to shorter end

Using one hand hold tight both ends, then using the other hand smoothen wrinkles on wrapper

Now, pull both end tighter and make sure every side of the gift is wrapped without wrinkles. Twist both end a few times so that it would not easily get loosen

All you need to do is to tie two butterfly knots. First, tie the fabric ribbon with a butterfly knot. Then, with the paper ribbon tie the fabric buuterfly knot
Man…I am confuse with all the butterfly knots. Hope you can understand. You can refer this site on to how to tie a butterfly knots to learn. Just like putting on your shoes

It is all done...!!! Now, you can give your gift to anyone. Merry Christmas!!!

December 6th, 2009UncategorizedHi, kids. Is Cool Science Experiments again. In this article, I am going give you guys several tips on cornflour.
If you run out of cornflour at home, just click on the picture and buy some from Amazon.com
No more talking…Let’s get started with it….
By the way, we ain’t cook nothing here.
Find some tarnished silverwere at home. Just add some water on cornflour to a paste. Your paste should not be too thick or too watery. It should be like cream you can apply. Next using your fingers, apply paste on tarnished silverware. Let it dry. Then use a cloth to polish off the dried cornflour and tarnish from the silverware. Lastly, wash it it with water and wipe it dry the silverware. TA DA,…..You have a shinning silverware again!!!
Next, cornflour can help daddy or mummy to remove excess polish from car.
Kids, daddy just like to polish their car don’t they.
We can help them make their car shinnier… hahaha daddy gonna love us.
Just put a tablespoon of cornflor on a cloth or a rag. Then we just wipe the excess polish with the cloth. Notice the excess car polish disappear. For your information cornflour can remove excess polish on wooden furniture as well.
That’s it for now…I am going to polish my car…now go get doc some cornflour…!!!
